THE VILLAGE

Our flagship store is based within the The Village, at the centre of Market Harborough.

Trading Refill Revolution successfully at Harborough Indoor Market allowed myself (owner, Beth Lambert) and trusted co-manager (Beth Awdry), to get to know a growing collection of like-minded businesses.

Together, we could see a real thirst for change by customers, lead by those inspirational, eco-minded entrepreneurs we were meeting along the way.

From this, an idea started to emerge. We envisioned a collective hub of small businesses, allowing customers to shop for a wider range of products than we could stock at Refill alone, yet still following the same values and guiding principles.

We couldn't shake this vision. So we worked on a business plan (we really do love a good, coherent plan), coerced those businesses into joining us, and opened the Eco Village, now known as The Village at the beginning of February 2020.

Dry foods are still at the very heart of what we do, as are our refillable cleaning products. However, the additional space at the The Village has allowed us to expand on this. We now stock a huge range of everyday household objects, and cosmetics, enabling customers to make sustainable swaps more easily.

Whether you need a few scoops of porridge oats, some toilet roll, or bamboo-cutlery to use when eating on the go, then we have you covered. All plastic-free and following a zero-waste ethos.

So, much to our delight, you can now do a full weekly shop from The Village too! Other products include fresh fruit and vegetables, milk served in glass bottles from a vending machine, right through to houseplants, and kombucha. It’s a wonderful and exciting community venture, we love it!

Refill Revolution at The Village can be found on St Mary’s Road in Market Harborough, just next door to Kwik Fit and a 5-minute walk from the train station.
